Hubert Niewiadomski,

baritone, was born in 1979 in Siedlce (Poland). Hubert started his musical education as a child in the classical guitar class and since early childhood he was singing in several reputable choirs and ensembles.

As a student of Computer Science at Warsaw University of Technology Hubert started his vocal education with Prof. R. Miazga and Prof. K. Zachwatowicz-Jasieńska. At the same time he was an initiator and a producer of a series of classical music concerts in his University, which included such masterpieces as St. John’s Passion by Bach, Carmina Burana by Orff or Messa da Requiem by Verdi.

Since 2005 Hubert Niewiadomski has been a student of Prof. G. Cachemaille in the Ecole Supérieure de la Musique de Genève. Hubert is consciously improving his vocal and interpretation technique by participation in the master classes given by Teresa Berganza, Omar Porras, Alain Garichot and Leonardo Garcia Alarcon. He studied vocal diction with Paolo Zedda and Esther de Bros. He participated in several students’ operatic productions: Don Giovanni (as Commendatore and Masetto, Pierre-André Gamba, 2009), Orlando Paladino (as Licone, Stephan Grögler, Thomas Rösner, 2009), The Marriage of Figaro (as Dottore, Pierre-André Gamba, 2008), The Magic Flute (as Papageno, Omar Porras, 2007).

Hubert also interpreted the masterpieces of oratorio music including St. Mathew's Passion by Bach, Requiem de Faure (2009), Messe in G by Schubert (2008), Messe solennelle de Ste-Cécile by Gounod (2007), Requiem by Howells (2006), Requiem by Mozart (2005). He also performed in Carmina Burana by Orff (2002, 2004) and Liebes Lieder by Brahms (2005).

He gave the concerts with Warsaw Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra, Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of Geneva Conservatory of Music and Vevey Symphonic Orchestra.

He was performing among others in the Grand Hall of Warsaw University of Technology (2011), Geneva Cathedral (2011), Victoria Hall (Geneva, 2008), Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (Geneva, 2005) and Polish Radio Concert Studio (Warsaw, 2001).

Hubert has also performed several recitals of chamber music performing the songs by R. Schumann, F. Schubert, J. Brahms, H. Wolf, M. Ravel, H. Duparc, G. Fauré, L. v. Beethoven, M. Karłowicz, T. Baird. Hubert also interprets the early and baroque music including such works as the Oratorios and Cantatas by Bach, arias from L’Orfeo by Monteverdi, various motets and madrigals and Gregorian chant.

Since 2004 Hubert is also an organist of the Polish Catholique Mission in Switzerland and plays in St. Theresa Church in Geneva.

Hubert Niewiadomski also obtained his PhD in experimental particle physics from Manchester University (UK, 2008) and since 2004 works in the TOTEM experiment (CERN, Geneva).
